About Me
How does a starving artist continue to create?
The answer is, artists don’t starve when there is a passion to forge new and inventive ideas in an ever changing world. Artists are fed by gratification in the work produced and the feelings it evokes in others. I have done my job if my work is visually engaging and thought provoking.
As an artist, there is an innate need to be expressive, whether through photography or a completely different medium such as painting or drawing. Although challenging, it is possible to generate different perspectives in sui generis and innovative ways, fashioning compositions based on what feels right at the time.
While comfort and hesitation prevent exploration in other mediums, it is intriguing to find they also open the eyes to alternative possibilities. John F. Kennedy once said, “Get involved. That’s the secret of life. Try everything. Join everything. Meet everybody” it resonates with me, because if the barrier of comfort is not broken, it is impossible to grow as an artist, each media outlet offers inspiration. Recent exposure to various mediums gives insight to the never-ending possibilities, allowing new aspirations to form and expand the use of these mediums.
